Desire, discovery and determination are vital for success with regard to eating issues. You can be a conqueror, by answering these questions honestly and following the suggested guidelines.

Do you have a sincere desire to lose weight? Success over eating issues, involves desiring to do something about the problem that you have.

Begin by defining it. What do you think is causing your problem? Are you depressed? Do you want more out of life? Are you suffering because you are overweight? Perhaps you are frustrated? Maybe you think that life is not fair? In other words, what is your personal Achilles' heel? Is your weakness chocolate eclairs, apple fritters, potato chips or pastry? Now that you have discovered what the problem is, assume ownership of it, immediately. In other words, who owns the problem? You do. Who can do something about it? You can. "It is my problem." Admit that loud enough so that you can hear it. Holler it from a hilltop.

Taking rightful ownership of your problem will help you to see that this is just one more aspect of your life, that you can assume the responsibility for, at least in part. Be aware that you determine your own destiny, to some extent by assuming ownership of your problems.

Now find help. Using the search engine on your computer, look for an online therapist in weight loss counseling and management, who can assist you. Recognize that therapists are there to help you do whatever it takes, to solve the problem. A non-judgmental, compassionate weight loss therapist, can and will show you how you can lose weight, as well as how to manage your weight effectively, for the rest of your life.

Weigh yourself regularly, but weigh your options with your therapist too!

You have a sincere desire to lose weight. You have discovered what the problem is and you are charting your destiny, with the assistance of a therapist.

Are you prepared to take positive and constructive action?

Begin immediately, as now is the time to act. Your own determination is what will help you to succeed. Taking action involves doing something positive and constructive for yourself, even if it means doing it all by yourself', under the guidance of a therapist.

Tell yourself, "I can do it." Whisper that to yourself every day, for the rest of your life, if necessary. If you fall short of the goals that you set with your therapist, don't get discouraged. Just get back on track.
